The founding members of Silko Dog, Kana, an experienced professional in the dog equipment industry and founder of Kana Collection, and Piia Järvenpää, a business expert and dog enthusiast, joined forces to fulfill the wish of many dog owners, especially those with fluffy dogs, to bring to the market enough fur-friendly collars and harnesses designed by Kana. For years, Kana had been sewing Silko-lined equipment to order in her small atelier, but one person simply couldn't sew them for everyone who needed them! Unfortunately, she often had to turn customers away. Inspired by this demand and their love for dogs and their customers, Kana and Piia founded Silko Dog.

Kana's nearly two decades of experience in designing and manufacturing dog equipment, her understanding of canine ergonomics and fur characteristics, combined with Piia's strong operational expertise, created a solid foundation for Silko Dog.

At the core of the equipment's functionality is the trademarked Silko fabric. This unique, smooth-surfaced material has been specially developed to prevent fur matting and chafing. It is ideal for all dogs, from long-haired and wire-haired to fluffy and even hairless breeds. The fabric is also pleasant for sensitive skin. Silko fabric is known for its durability, water repellency, and ease of care, ensuring the longevity and practicality of the equipment.

Although Silko products were previously available in a more limited capacity, the launch of Silko Dog finally makes these innovative products more widely accessible to dog owners. The collection includes the ergonomic Silko Pinsu Y-harnesses; practical, semi-choke Nolla collars; and unique, fully lined 360° Silko semi-choke collars. Each product is carefully designed to ensure the dog's comfort, safety, and carefree movement.
