How was the 360° SILKO collar born?

This collar model was originally created in January 2019 in the small collar atelier of Kana, Silko Dog's Finnish designer, due to the ardent wishes of customers. Poodle owners, in particular, suffered immensely from the fact that all collars on the market tangled their dogs' fur more or less, and usually more. It was absolutely essential to try and respond to this cry for help, and so Kana's brain and sewing machine started whirring. She sewed several different Silko-lined collar variations, and trusted customers tested them on their poodles for months. Finally, in January 2019, one of the collar models worked perfectly! A few fine-tunings were made, and thus the ultimate fur protection collar was born.

The new, fully lined, slip-on collar immediately became a super popular custom-made product among sensitive-furred and fluffy dogs because it so effectively helped maintain the good condition of their fur. A huge number of collar users have reported that tangling around the collar stopped completely when the fully lined Silko collar was introduced. The collar model is unique in the world and has been proven to work with tangle-prone fur. Wire-haired coat also benefits from this collar — the Silko lining does not wear out the fur or break hairs at all.

We decided to bring the collar into the Silko Dog collection because Kana simply couldn't sew enough collars in her one-woman atelier for all those who wanted one. She had never given the collar any particular name, but the best collar in the world must have one! During a brainstorming session, it sparked that since the collar's lining forms a perfect circle, 360° (the degree of a full circle) would describe it excellently. Thus, the collar got its name: 360° SILKO.
