What is Silko® fabric and why is it such a good material?

Invincible Silko® Fabric

Silko® fabric is a trademarked super fabric that is exceptionally coat-friendly. At Silko Dog, we use it to line our collars and harnesses. 

Numerous special features make Silko fabric perfect for dog equipment:

• Its extremely smooth surface does not cause friction or chafing to the dog's fur and skin.
• The smooth surface prevents tangles and is gentle even on wire-haired coat.
• A thin but strong structure makes the fabric light, soft and durable.
• Silko fabric does not generate static electricity. 
• The fabric repels water, so the equipment does not get soaked in the rain.
• Dirt also does not immediately absorb through the fabric into the equipment, and often dirt can simply be wiped away.
• Silko fabric equipment can be hand washed and also machine washed at 40°C in a laundry bag.
• Thanks to its lightness, Silko fabric products dry quickly after washing.
• The beautiful colors of Silko fabrics remain bright for a long time.

Silko fabric has been used in our designer Kana's artisan workshop, Kanashop (found on Facebook), for almost a decade. Its popularity has only grown year by year among fluffy and other dogs alike. Thousands of dogs are already comfortably wearing Silko equipment, and it's no wonder – Silko collars and harnesses are the best A-class dog equipment!
